My first trip! Been forgetting to come here forever. So happy to have time and remember.
Simple set up with meats, cheeses, desserts, sides. Also full sandwich shop with dozens of choices. They recommended the grinder so that's what l went with.
Very good sandwich. It was spicier than I expected, but I love a little spice. The tiniest skimpy on the filling. Bun was soft and fresh. I added chips and a cookie for a total of $11. Fair pricing!
Everyone working was pleasant. I chose to take mine to work to eat, but there is a dine in option, too.

I love supporting local businesses! This was worth it! We got plenty of meat for a good price! Everyone was so welcoming and nice. One of the guys even helped my mom & I carry the box of meat to our car! Definitely going back!!

I traveled for a weekend in Des Moines and decided to try the Killer sandwiches. The banter with the guys behind the counter was worth the trip. Tried Dad Killer, Killer tacos and meatball/cheese killer. All sandwiches/tacos were good but not exceptional. The visit was rated a 4 because of the personal interactions.
Amazing food, even better people. John was a fantastic during my first visit. He made feel like I was 10yr regular.
Would rate this place 5 stars for sure !! We recently started getting lunch/supper there and have always been impressed with the taste of the food as well as the great customer service from all the employees !! But we also decided to order 2 of their meat package deals recently and just want to say their meat taste so much better than the meat we usually get from Walmart/hyvee (in our opinion)
We have definitely recommended these guys to all our local friends and family and will continue to do so !!

This is my first time here, great place to meet someone for lunch just south of downtown. The sandwiches are legit and full of flavor and the staff were engaging in hospitable
I was a first time customer today, and let me tell you, B&B is the real deal.
Right when I walked in, John made me feel like we’d known each other for 20 years. He showed me around, we shared stories, talked about family and food, and laughed.
I went in looking for a nice cut of beef to roast for dinner. John helped me decide on a cut, and then butchered and tied it up for me. He is a master at his craft, and takes pride in everything he does.
Whether I need meat for a big family meal, or I’m hungry for a sandwich, B&B is my new go-to.
We drove up from Texas to visit my wife's dad, who lives just outside the city. I saw this place online and people were saying how good the food was here, as well as their meat selection. We came in for lunch and we were not disappointed. The burger was so good! And they have these fried cheese balls that were amazing.
